The C.R.E.A.M of the crop (the highest salaries). If you’re looking to spend money on Defense we recommend:

The Seahawks welcome a Panthers team who’s 4-0 record may be deceiving…their combined opponents record is 5-15. Carolina’s run game has been non existent with Jonathan Stewart averaging on 3.7 yards per carry and only 1 20+ run on 59 carries. The Seahawks are currently ranked #7 vs. the Pass and the Run in total yards, and they’re dominant at home.
For the first time Cam Newton and the Panthers will be forced to take it off cruise control, which could result in turnovers.

“Bull” is inspired by a Bull Market on Wall Street. If you’re looking for a high ceiling with a moderate salary:

The Redskins want to be a team that can run the ball on anyone, but only managed 51 yards on 24 attempts last week vs. The Falcons. It’s clear the Redskins are struggling to replace Shaun Lauvao who was one of their best run blockers and is out for the year. The video shows that the Jets are one of the most impressive defensive lines in the league. Plus, they welcome back their most dominant player Sheldon Richardson. This could spell disaster for Redskins who will now be forced to allow Cousins to throw on a star studded secondary who has made life hard on each QB only allowing 2nd best mark of 185 yards of passing per game.

If you’re looking for near minimum salary with the potential to out perform the Blue Chip market:

The Detroit Lions defense is by no means as good as their 2014 unit. However, they faced a grueling schedule to start the year and has caused the offense to get off to a very disappointing start.
Maybe it’s because they played some of the best defenses to start the year (Cardinals, Seahawks and Broncos), but these three offensive stats are KILLING the Lions defensively:
1. The turnover difference of – 6 is hard to overcome on D
2. A poor 3rd down conversion % of 36.9 means the D is on the field a lot more
3. 49 rush YPG is by far the worst rushing offense in the league. Anytime you can’t run the ball the defense will suffer.
Now they finally get a tasty matchup vs. Jay Cutler who has a history of turnovers and a bears offense that is nowhere near the caliber that the Lions have faced thus far. If you want to load up on skill and skimp on D the Lions are not a bad option.

“Bear” also draws inspiration from Wall Street. Stay away this week:

The Bengals efficient offense proved again last week that their multiple weapons can overcome any defensive scheme. Whatever the defensive adjustment, the Bengals have an answer. It’s why you’ve seen different Bengals step up each week.
This is very similar the Patriots, shown above, who opted to spread out the Bills and take advantage of man to man mismatches….
They are averaging 124 yards on the ground per game and 297 yards through the air. This type of balance will be sure to keep the Bills off balance. With the return of both Eifert and Marvin Jones this season there are plenty of mismatches for Dalton to take advantage of….. The Bills are talented enough on D to slow the Bengals down for a little but if they’re without Tyrod to move the ball, it will be a matter of time before Dalton will be able to pick apart their man coverages. The balanced Bengals doesn’t make many mistakes and I don’t expect the Bills to be able to change that on Sunday.
