Week 11 Picks: Wide Receivers

The Wolf stays hot!

Last week we dominated the WR slate, this week we recommended 2 top 12 WR values of the week. First, DaVante Adams as our Bull, who ended up with 17.9 points and a $234.64 per point $ (DFSgold.com).

Second, our Penny Stock play Michael Floyd was not only the TOP value WR of the week, he was the #2 value play of ALL positions! He destroyed the Seahawks for 33.3 points and a $114.11 point per $.

The C.R.E.A.M of the crop (the highest salaries). If you’re looking to spend money on a Wide Receiver we recommend:

Fantasy owners rejoice, your wait is over. After 10 weeks of injuries and poor QB play, get ready for Dez to start to recoup your fantasy investments with a 7 week stretch of absolute monster games. First victim, the Dolphins.

After starting 2-0, the injuries to Dez and Romo (and abysmal QB play) have put the Cowboys at 2-7 on the year. With nothing to lose and now seeing how valuable he is to his team, I expect Romo to get under center like he’s John freaking Elway and fearlessly sling the ball all around the yard, moving the team with ease. The biggest beneficiary of this will be Dez, who will get over targeted to work out all the frustrations the duo has held after missing majority of the year to injury.

Miami’s top CB Brent Grimes will likely return from illness after missing last week, but that is not reason to shy away from Dez. The loss of their top DE Cam Wake has left the Dolphins pass rush in shambles, and Romo will be able to sit behind his fortress of Olineman until Dez can work himself open.

According to RotoGrinders advanced stats, The Miami D has given up the 7th most fantasy points to Qb’s the last 3 weeks with an average of 22.69 points.

“Bull” is inspired by a Bull Market on Wall Street. If you’re looking for a high ceiling with a moderate salary:

If there is one WR that continually gets mispriced on DraftKings, it’s Decker. The Jets have been sputtering the past couple weeks, and their inability to ice the game with the rushing attack has caused a bump to WR stats.
According to RotoGrinders advanced stats, over the past 3 weeks the Jets WR’s have earned the 7th most points of all the WR’s on DraftKings with an average of 48.37 points per game.
Decker is tied for 2nd amongst WR’s with 7 TD’s on the year….and those TD’s have come on drastically lower targets (62)….(TD’s win you tourneys)
According to Rotowire….In one less game than the leaders, Decker is 8th in the league for Red Zone targets with 14.

I also always like to draft Decker after he’s had extra time off. He’s a WR who is always dealing with some ailment, and the few extra days off from the Thursday night game will allow him to be completely fresh for the Texans.

This is a perfect letdown spot, after the Texan D finally played up to their potential on MNF vs. the Bengals. A MNF hangover would not surprise me in the least.

Lastly, if Fitzpatrick is healthy, I could see the revenge narrative playing out….he’s returning to Houston where he had some remarkable games.

If you’re looking for near minimum salary with the potential to out perform the Blue Chip market:

Fantasy world, welcome your newest target monster on the Patriots…Mr. Danny Edelmandola. This one is really a no brainer. It is safe to assume that Amendola will step in for the injured Edelman and run the same routes that Tom Brady targets so often, except you are getting Danny at a 4K+ discount for this addition.

Edelman leaves behind the mammoth 85 targets for 61-692-7 Td’s line for Amendola to swallow up.
That’s 24% of Tom Brady’s targets and 9.8 targets per game.
The matchup couldn’t be better for Amendola either, facing a Bills defense who stops the run so well that it forces a higher % of passes. This is evidenced by
The Bills D has given up the 6th most DraftKings points to WR’s on the year with an average of 40.26 per game. (RotoGrinders)
Don’t forget in the week 2 matchup when Edelman roasted Robey for 11 catches 92 yards and 2 TD’s……Amendola will look to exploit that same matchup vs. Nickell Robey
According to Pro Football Focus WR vs CB matchup chart Amendola’s +33 advantage’s over Robey is one of their biggest mismatches of the week.

“Bear” also draws inspiration from Wall Street.  Stay away this week:

Revis still makes WR’s disappear on his island, and he seems to play even better as the competition gets better. I expect his A+ game vs one of the league’s best and most dangerous WR’s in Deandre Hopkins.

Here’s a look at the last 5 WR’s on Revis Island:

Sammy Watkins: 3-14-0
Allen Robinson: 6-121-0 ( the lone outlier on the year)
Amari Cooper: 5-46-0
Julian Edelman: 5-54-0
Pierre Garcon: 5-28-1

We may see backup Texans QB TJ Yates which also may slow down some of Nuk’s production….and when drafting players you must think VALUE….

For instance, with his MASSIVE 8.8K DK salary, even a 20 point performance on Revis (not likely) would still cost you $440 per point.

**$440/point would have ranked 30th for all WR’s this week (DFSgold.com)

If you are going to spend big, you need a massive ceiling…D Hop doesn’t present this ceiling in this matchup vs the league’s best corner. Stay away
