The wolf is red hot! Last week our Bluechip Antonio Brown broke records and strapped DFS players to his back, our Bull Alshon Jeffery continued on his fantasy warpath for a 28.1 spot on Monday Night Football. And our pennystock, Brandon Lafell, finished with 18.2 and was a top 5 WR value play on the entire week! We hope to build on that success this week…..on to week 10 selections!
The BlueChip WR market is absolutely loaded this week, and my initial lineup construction has me taking cheaper RB, to get 3 bluechip or WR’s. However, the two WR that jumped out in this market the most, Randall Cobb and Allen Robinson….and after a productive stay on Revis island….ARob gets the nod this week in a potential eruption spot vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
The C.R.E.A.M of the crop (the highest salaries). If you’re looking to spend money on a Wide Receiver we recommend:
This is scraping the bottom of the Blue Chip barrel, as Arob is the last WR who made the cut in this market. This is because Robinson’s salary is finally creeping up to his value, but let’s snag him in this golden spot one more time before he goes over the 7K mark for good.
– Most impressive stat last week: 11 targets vs. the elite Darrelle Revis, if this doesn’t speak volume about the trust Bortles has in the young playmaker I don’t know what does.
– The Ravens run D is the only thing above average about their squad, so look for Bortles to continue slinging it early and often….if Revis got 11 targets, Jimmy Smith who has been torn apart all year, will be very busy trying to stop one of the best of WR’s in the game.
– Per Pro Football Focus, Robinson is averaging .34 fantasy points per route on the year, one of the highest amongst WR’s. Now he gets the Ravens who are allowing the 4th most passing yards per game in the league at 283.
– $6,700 is still a slight discount for a WR that is finally showing consistency along with his massive ceiling week in and week out

“Bull” is inspired by a Bull Market on Wall Street. If you’re looking for a high ceiling with a moderate salary:
I like James Jones, Desean Jackson / Pierre Garcon ( depending on if Breax plays, and who we predict he will cover) and Tavon Austin in this market….but after an 11 target game last week my money will be placed heavily on the healthy and rejuvenated DaVante Adams.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers simply won’t lose again. An implied team total of 30 means there will be plenty of Fantasy fireworks for the Packers, and my money’s on them coming through the air vs a bottom rung Lions secondary.
– DaVante Adams feels like stealing this week
– Adams posted an 11 target 7-93 including 2 20+ yard catches and 1 40+ yard catch…..mostly vs. lockdown corner Josh Norman
– After the Packers offense hit some bumps in the road, it’s clear they are putting an emphasis on getting the ball in the their (finally healthy) playmaker, DaVante Adams
– Last week’s success and usage (75 snaps, more than Cobb and Jones) make Adams a safe bet for 7+ targets and a high, comforting floor
– The explosive plays will come much easier vs one of the worst secondaries in the league.
– Adams will be the super chalk this week, but he’s a can’t miss play with such a low salary in a primo matchup.
Update: After breaking down film, we also like Randall Cobb this week. Here is our breakdown:

If you’re looking for near minimum salary with the potential to out perform the Blue Chip market:
– PFF Shadow report tell us that Seattle has not done much shadow coverage their last couple of games, and if they use Sherman to shadow it will likely be vs. Fitzgerald or John Brown
– This frees up Michael Floyd to run the majority of his routes vs. Cary Williams, a weak link in the surprisingly struggling Seattle defense.
– Conversely, Michael Floyd’s fantasy outlook is pointing straight up.
– In his last 3 games Floyd has gone 12-215 and 3 TD’s with 4 20+ yard catches and has also reestablished himself as a lethal red zone weapon
– His improved play made Coach Arians declare him the #2 WR over John Brown.
– Seattle has lost some of its defensive identity with the departure of their defensive coordinator…..look for Floyd to easily top his ridiculously low 3,800 salary and potentially go off as passes are funneled away from Sherman
– Floyd will contend for a top value this week at the WR position

“Bear” also draws inspiration from Wall Street. Stay away this week:
A raised price, for a defective product. We saw last week that Antonio Brown is a much different fantasy weapon with Big Ben under center….. Landry turns AB into Markus Wheaton.
With Bell out, facing a bad secondary, the Steelers will still feed AB the ball but without Ben his ceiling is just too limited to pay the hefty price. I will be completely off AB, unless Ben miraculously heals in the next 72 hours.
